Who is eligible for cover: The Care Au-Pair policy is tailored to the needs of au pairs and demi pairs worldwide. The international insurance can be taken out up to the insured’s 35th birthday both by foreign au pairs whilst working in Germany resp. Austria and by German and Austrian au pairs during a stay anywhere else in the world except for the NAFTA countries.

What are the insurance benefits: The benefits cover outpatient, inpatient and dental treatment by all licensed physicians worldwide at the normal local fees. From the "Care Au-Pair M" tariff, the au pair policy also provides income replacement during inpatient treatment. Under the "Care Au-Pair XL" tariff, the costs for a visit by a family member will also be reimbursed up to a maximum of € 1,500.00.

What does the insurance cost: The premium for the "Care Au-Pair Si" international insurance amounts to € 21.00 per month plus a deductible of € 50.00 per claim; in the "Care Au-Pair S" tariff the premium amounts to € 26.00 plus € 35.00 deductible per claim. With the tariff variants "Care Au-Pair M" for € 35.00 per month and "Care Au-Pair XL" for € 43.00 per month there is no deductible.

Taking out insurance: You can take out a Care Au-Pair international policy online and, after your application has been checked and approved, will receive all the insurance documents required for your visa application by e-mail within a few minutes.
