Health insurance can be taken out for long-term trips (stay abroad for at least 6 months up to a maximum of 5 years) up to a maximum entry age of 74 years.
What are the insurance benefits:
The benefits cover outpatient, inpatient and dental treatment, as well as preventive check-ups, therapy and medical aids with all licensed physicians worldwide at the normal local fees. In Germany, the maximum insurance period is 5 years. Outside Germany, you can renew this policy as often as you wish until reaching the maximum age. Irrespective of any existing conditions, cover is guaranteed for newborns.
We recommend business travellers and those on business assignments to take out sickness daily allowance policy ("Care Cash"). The tariff can be choosen additionally with the health insurance.
What does the insurance cost:
The monthly premium for Care Expatriate international insurance depends on age. For a 28 year-old person, for example, the health insurance costs €58.00 per month for a stay worldwide excepting the NAFTA countries. You will find the right premium in the Table of Premiums in the follow-on pages to the tariff.

You can also use these for a visa application. In addition we will send you the full insurance documentation, including the policy, by post within two working days.
In addition to international health insurance, we also recommend that you take out a "Care Protector" accident and liability policy. You can conclude this quite conveniently together with your health insurance under Online Application for a premium from EUR 2.00 per month.
