Who is eligible for coverage?If you would like to work as a salaried employee in Germany and earn more than 538 euros per month, you usually have to take out insurance coverage with a statutory health insurance provider. What are the insurance benefits?As a person with statutory health insurance in Germany you will receive services at the doctor, in the hospital, in rehabilitation facilities and for medication. DAK-Gesundheit offers many attractive additional benefits such as travel vaccinations, optional plan rates and bonus programs. What does the insurance cost?At DAK-Gesundheit, the contribution rate is 16.3% of the gross salary. In Germany, half of the contribution for public health insurance is paid by the employee and half by the employer. In addition, there is the contribution for public long-term care insurance. |
