Care Visa Protect insurance is available for foreign nationals who are staying temporarily with a visa in the Federal Republic of Germany, Austria, the member states of the European Union, Switzerland, Liechtenstein or the Schengen states. The maximum age for insurable persons is 74. |

The period of coverage is one day up to 92 days or, in the case of a "multiple-entry visa," for any number of trips up to a total maximum period of 92 days per policy year. |
Care Visa Protect coverage can only be taken out by travelers who enter the destination country with a visa and needs to be purchased before arrival to that country. The maximum benefit is limited to EUR 50,000.00 per policy. |
