Competitive athletes and persons who are permanently in need of long-term care are not eligible for coverage under Care Travel PLUS.

Even if you select the option without insurance coverage in the USA, China and Singapore, you will benefit from coverage for stays of up to 14 days in these countries. Would you like to spend time in Germany during your stay abroad? No problem! Depending on the rate you choose (Basic, Comfort, Premium), you are also covered for up to 30, 60 or 90 days in Germany.

The minimum contract period for Care Travel PLUS long-term international health insurance is one month. You can insure yourself for stays abroad of up to 60 months.

  • Psychotherapeutic services due to an acute traumatic experience up to a maximum of € 2,500

  • Medically advisable and justifiable return transportation of the patient, including transportation costs for an accompanying person, if this is necessary for medical reasons

• Outpatient curative treatment
  • o Preventive medical check-ups after the 10-month waiting period up to €250. The costs are covered one time in the first 24 months of the duration of coverage. In each subsequent policy year, they are covered once per policy year.
  • Visual aids after the 10-month waiting period in the one-time amount of €150 for the entire contract period
  • Chiropractic and osteopathic treatments as well as treatments by alternative practitioners

  • Chiropractic and osteopathic treatments as well as treatments by alternative practitioners

Benefit exclusions
Please note that Care Travel PLUS long-term international health insurance contains benefit exclusions. These include treatment of known illnesses (pre-existing conditions) within six months taking out the insurance, medical tourism and psychotherapy. The premium rates for Care Travel PLUS depend on your age, the selected area of coverage you choose (including or excluding coverage in the USA, China, Singapore), your age and whether you take out your long-term international health insurance prior to or after your departure.
