USA insurance covers you worldwide, including the USA, and you can take it out for a period of between one and 18 months.
Practical tip: Take out your Care Amerika / Care Travel USA international health insurance for up to 31 days after leaving Germany. If you left Germany more than 31 days ago, you must provide evidence of prior insurance for this period. If you are unable to provide evidence of prior insurance, a waiting period of 31 days will apply.

Even if you move abroad to a country worldwide, including the USA, after leaving Germany, you can take out Care Amerika / Care Travel USA. The decisive factor is that you have a place of residence in Germany at the time of taking out the policy. If you have already been abroad for six months or more before the start of the insurance, you can no longer take out Care Amerika / Care Travel USA travel health insurance.

Exclusions
Please note that there are exclusions for your international health insurance for USA Care America / Care Travel USA. These include treatment for known illnesses received in the six months prior to taking out the policy (pre-existing conditions), medical tourism, psychotherapy and preventive medical check-ups. The maximum duration of coverage under the Care Amerika/Care Travel USA international health insurance is 18 months. The minimum duration of coverage is one month. It is not possible to extend the duration of coverage. We recommend that you take out coverage for the entire duration of your trip from the outset.

Care Amerika/Care Travel USA international health insurance is valid worldwide, including the USA.
