As a private health insurance, Care Student is an alternative to statutory health insurance for students in Germany that is recognized by all universities and immigration authorities. Although the private insurance provides significantly more than the statutory health insurance, foreign students benefit from a significantly lower premium. Students in Germany (as well as pupils, interns, etc.) from abroad between the ages of 12 and 34 are eligible for insurance.
